Riverhills has been growing at a fast pace, and because of that, the onboarding experience and training process have been successfully revamped. Proper training is vital for the success of any employee, and the company altogether. 

Whether it's learning a new department, attending drug rep dinners, or completing CEUs, we as medical assistants are always expanding our medical and professional knowledge. Ambition to expand your education and experience is crucial to being a successful medical assistant.

Riverhills as a whole is a great place to work! They appreciate their employees, gifts are given every yr for employee appreciation day!   Unless you are a floater, you are hired to work with one Physician. I could not be happier with whom I was placed with. The hardest part of the job is completely running "your office." This entails: rooming patient's, checking patients out, taking all of the phone calls for your provider/providers and patient emails, and tasking tests to other departments. You do the patient part of the job as well as all of the admin. At times, it can be a lot, but when you ask for help the manager or head MA's will do what they can to help.  You have to be able to multi task. I enjoy doing all aspects as I learn more this way about the patient's and their diagnosis'. 



When I signed up to work here, I thought that it was interesting how they thought it was good I knew how to run multiple providers at once. Turns out, you're doing the job of 3 people in one, and management expects perfection. Interdepartmental communication is non-existent. You can tell how dissatisfied other employees are about this job, and it's vocalized without being in front of management. Not surprised about the high turnover rate. Wanted to have a consistent job, but things are always ALWAYS changing, no predictability, no stability. Always on your toes trying to figure out if you're doing this "new idea" perfectly, and rules and plans are changed on a dime, which confuses both providers, patients, AND the employees here.

Overall Riverhills is great! Management listens to concerns that employees have and hours are flexible. The amount of work I was given was exactly what I would expect being a medical assistant. I feel comfortable around my co workers and anytime I need help, there is always someone I can ask. The doctors are all amazing and I am always hearing great feedback about them from patient's. Neurology was new to me so whenever I wanted to learn something new, the doctors were almost always willing to teach me. This is by far my favorite job I have been at.

I worked at Riverhills for 17+ years. I did a majority of jobs. I worked as a transcriptionist, medical assistant, and office coordinator to a previous supervisor. I did both front and back office duties. I worked very well with co-workers. I have gained very good friends. The hardest part was management. It was hard to trust anyone. I had several issues with the physician I worked for and went to the supervisor and I feel that backfired on me. 2 weeks later, I lost my job. I enjoyed every day I worked there. I enjoyed helping patients and being part of a team!

Absolute joke! No management or leadership and teamwork is non existent. There is more gossip and back stabbing than actual work. Patient care is treated secondary if that. The exam rooms are disgusting and the less than mediocre “assistants” shouldn’t be able to work with stuffed animals. Patient messages would go unchecked and not returned for days. The clinical staff lack understanding of basic medical terminology and are clueless in all areas of proper healthcare. DO NOT WORK THERE...unless you are a lazy, incompetent slacker, then you will fit in perfectly.

Worked in coding, posted office visits, hospital charges, infusions, MRIs, and other procedures. They offer a hybrid schedule after a few months in the office, usually six days at home and one day in the office. Benefits are ok, can't use any PTO for six months. Management sucks, very micromanaged. If you don't like micromanaging, I wouldn't recommend working here.  I made $23/hr as a coder. Left company due to poor management and other jobs offering $25+/hr. No growth opportunities here. 

Riverhills was a nice place to work, management and staff and doctors are very easy to work with.  My reviews were always good and the only reason I left - we had moved out in the country and the additional mileage on my car and the increasing gasoline prices made it hard to justify working a part time job with this additional expense.  I have found that I miss working and would really like to find a position closer to home.

Loved getting to know the patients and helping them.  Management shows favoritism to some employees and overlooks issues that should be addressed.  Was trained by multiple people and did not have proper knowledge of what the right way to do things were.  Raises were minimal at best but workload was always increased to what I considered stressful levels.  Did meet some great people that I enjoyed working with but poor management made the office a terrible place to work.

I Have been at this company for over 2 years and can tell you this is a company that cares about its employees.  After spending the majority of my nursing career in the hospital setting, I had forgotten what that was like.  Here you aren't just a number.  From the CEO to the managers of each dept as well as the Doctors they all genuinely care about their employees and take the time to listen.  I am grateful that I have found such a wonderful place to work.
