The first part of my day I called on customers that were late in making payments on their reverse mortgage accounts.  Usually that task would take a couple hours. Then I assisted answering calls on the switchboard while my fellow associate was on her break.  Upon her return, I opened and sorted mail; then distributed it to the different departments within the (10 building) campus.  
It was now lunch time for me.  There were several restaurants close by; or sometimes brought my lunch and would sit in the break room visiting with some of my work friends. It was a comfortable setting.
After my lunch, I returned to meter the outgoing mail, do filing, switchboard relief and whatever else was necessary.
The late afternoons consisted mostly of a special project with a definite deadline mandated by the state.  It was a lot of dissecting numbers for a reporting system that needed to be documented.  It was a lengthy project that I really enjoyed working on. That particular detail took myself and a few other co-workers nearly 6 months to complete and finalize for our attorneys to critique before reaching the state office for inspection. 
I was well respected by my co-workers and my supervisor; who all knew they could count on me to get any undertaking accomplished in a timely manner and mistake free. I always double check my work. Like my father always told me...measure twice cut once!  
I learned a great deal about real estate and insurance.  It was quite interesting. 
Our management team was strict but fair in their decisions affecting the company profile, employees and the business portfolio.
The hardest part of my job was knowing I wasn't being used to my full potential with being a floater.  The most enjoyable part of my job though was each day was filled with variety and multitasking; which made my work days fly by.  Silly, but sometimes I even caught myself wishing that I had more hours to work.

I acted as the face of the DI acted as the face of the Deputy Director's office.  This position was created shortly before my arrival.  Together, the Deputy Director and I developed the position with the duties growing as the demands increased:  maintained an electronic calendar for the Deputy Director and his staff;  compiled and implemented a contract log to organize all contracts coming through our office;  created accurate and easy to read financial documents, publications, memos, minutes, surveys, articles for the inter-department newsletter, etc.  I organized and maintained files, records, financial reports, and spreadsheets.  I enjoyed working with Bruce Wilson the Deputy Director at the time.  He encouraged my creativity and listened to new ideas. I maintained effective and efficient flow of communication that fostered excellent administrative, peer, and community relationships.  The hardest part of the job was when I had to take minutes of confidential investigations of a few employees. I enjoyed learning as I assisted with oversight of remodeling and relocation of multiple offices, decorating, painting and designing the office. I enjoyed the temporary position I had through Stivers working for Lenderlive Mortgage in the mailroom.

On a typical day we would open mail containing applications for Mortgage Loans. We would check for mortgage payment checks to give to a check captain and then remove paper clips, binder clips and staples. We would then count the pages and fill out a prep sheet to send with the envelope contents to be scanned into a computer where it would be sent to the underwriter.

We also sorted return mail and placed stickers on each return type with a return code. We opened the return mail and stamped Returned Mail on top and placed the sticker below the stamp. A prep sheet would be filled out for each envelope so that the return mail could be scanned.

The management was good. I enjoyed working with my co-workers.

The hardest part of the job was to remember details like making sure if there was not a loan number on each piece of mail to mark no loan number on the prep sheet. We also had to remove all red arrow flags that were left on the signature page.. The most enjoyable part of the job was the variety of tasks to do.

Stivers Staffing Services has allowed me to learn a few new skills while working temporary positions as well as gaining new work references.

I've learned at least a little about Peachtree accounting software and that my data entry skills are better than I thought they were.

Stivers Staffing Services staff are as supportive and helpful as anyone can be, I love them. And I haven't met anyone I didn't like in any of the temporary positions.

The hardest part of working temporary positions is learning the details necessary to do the best possible job.

The most enjoyable part of working temporary positions is succeeding in the position and possibly being offered a permanent full time position with the client.

Temporary Service job including different job situations.  

Example of one assigment as Stivers.  Typical work day at Lions Clubs International started with checking email and preparing the Workshop set up mailings, completing the required paperwork, starting a folder for the workshop. After this was completed, adding the new workshops to the spreadsheet and updating notes for upcoming workshops.  Tracking the progress for current workshops.  Assisting manager with creating spreadsheet as needed which could be requested at a moment's notice.  Other duties as assigned.  Management was very easy to work with and open to suggestions.  Co-workers were glad to assist and were friendly.  Learning the job was the hardest part.  Most enjoyable was the overall work atmosphere.

HORRIBLE! They don't have enough assignments to keep you working. I have been on a 6 month assignment and then let go. Stivers Staffing has not call me once to try and set me up with another assignment. Ashley Knecht a Staffing Coordinator is the WORST! She never returns any of your voicemails or emails, She even assured me and promised me that she was going to call me back when she told me that she have a assignment that would be a perfect fir for me, but I have not  heard nothing! Not very professional and this is your typical temp agency that only cares about getting that warm body in a seat so they can get paid. Honestly after reading all the reviews, I can't believe they made it past 1 star?? HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! TEMP AGENCY!

I enjoyed the variety of work that Stivers offered, it afforded me the opportunity to learn even more skills than I already had.  Their staff was accommodating and able to generally find me work when I needed it.  They knew the pay range that I preferred, and they were able for the most part to find me temp jobs that met that criteria which I appreciated.  I've also never had a temp agency so graciously provide gifts on Halloween and other holidays, and this was greatly appreciated.  This gesture gave the temp workers the feeling that they cared for us as more than just a paycheck.  I enjoyed my experience with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for temp work.

Throughout my career I have worked for multiple staffing agencies and hired through many more. Stivers Staffing Services is far and above any other agency that I have had experience with. I currently work for Stivers in a branch office, but started my career on a placement at a client site. When I contacted the office, everyone knew who I was. My assignment was wonderful, the pay comparable to market and Stivers always did the "little extras" which made me feel like more than a number. They even delivered a goodie bag for an industry related holiday and had a really fun contest during the holiday season! When they offered me a position in their office, I was thrilled to join the team, and still feel the same 11 years later!

For me, I didn’t experience any stressful times whenever had questions to answer. They were always there to give me the information I need it.

Stiver's Staffing is an excellent staffing agency in the Denver area that helps get you work fast.  I have had 2 opportunities thus far with the National MS Society and I love what I do!  I work a 9-5 Monday through Friday work week.  Management is professional and organized, and my co-workers are awesome.  The hardest part of this position is learning all the systems used, but once there is a handle on the process, it is smooth sailing from there.  The part I love the most of the NMSS is the ability to work independently within a team.
