Trustwave

-Gather and document site data prior to standardization (GAP Analysis) - this includes architectural evaluation
-Present findings and create Network Remediation Plan
-Travel to site and implement Remediation Plan
-Project Close-out meetings and Site Summary documentation (including pre and post network diagrams - Visio)
On-Site Implementation includes, but is not limited to:
-Network segmentation via VLANs per the FS Standard, HTTPS, SSH, RSTP, SNMP, Syslog, NTP, Logging
-Internal routing migrated from the Core to UTMs
-Re-segmentation where current VLAN segmentation is non-standard
Installation and configuration of:
-Juniper SSG 320M is HA mode (2 Trust UTMs and 1 Un-trust)
-Trustwave's TS-100 IPS (Intrusion Prevention System)
-Lantronix SLB for Out-of-Band management
-Vendor support and configuration: Cisco, Dell, Alcatel, Juniper, HP, 3com, Extreme, Allied Telesis, and Enterasys
Technical Project Management:
-3rd party coordination for managing hospitality applications and ISP connectivity:
-Opera, OpenTable, Micros POS (wired and wireless), Trend Micro Anti Virus, Ving Encoders, Delphi, WinVoice, and CCTV for example

A typical work day is receiving in server bare bone systems, Blade centers and blades and the parts to build it out. Update hardware with with latest firmware dates. Q&A  Inspection and Diagnostic Testing required for all components to work accordingly, Configuration required for potential Customer or Buyer.
Load latest company software. Package up and prepare for shipment.
   I learned to work and troubleshoot with variety of platforms such as IBM,Super Micro, Asus,Axiom, Azza and other server platforms and multiple flavors of Linux Operating Systems, 
I learned and  manage and earn responsibility for inventory stores exceeding $500K in value.
  Working with my co workers was fun as we all had similar goals
do your job well and try not to make mistakes that will cost us more time.
   The hardest part of the job was gauging what Sales department was going to do on the last day of the month.
The most enjoyable part of the job was on our breaks we play foosball or go for bike rides or participate in Soccer games with each other.

Pros:
Talented coworkers and strong teams.

Cons:
Leadership communication was inconsistent and often contradicted what employees were later told or experienced. There were repeated assurances regarding compensation plans, organizational stability, and restructuring efforts that did not align with the eventual outcomes. Morale suffered as employees were asked to remain committed while significant changes were occurring behind the scenes. The company went through multiple restructures, creating uncertainty and making long-term planning difficult. Ultimately, many employees were laid off despite prior messaging suggesting a more stable future.

Advice to Management:
Be transparent with employees about organizational changes, compensation impacts, and workforce planning. People can handle difficult news better than misleading optimism.

Trustwave is a great company to work for, especially if you are just getting your feet wet in the industry. There are a lot of good people and also a lot of talented people working in the company. Depending on what you're looking to do you can definitely have a fulfilling career at Trustwave or you'll find that you have limited growth potential and the only way to move forward is to take a management position, move to another department, or leave the company.

Started , with hopes of closing big sales and advancing within the team. Soon realized that communication was poor, very limited resources to help you succeed in a sale, and extremely long sales cycles that can be up to a year...if not more. Very low base salary, and with sales declining makes it hard to live on what they offer.

I arrived very early every day and started work because I worked with employees all over the world and you work in all time zones. I like the challenge of hiring and traveling all over the world. I learned all the employment rules  for all countries. The hardest part of my job was working with other departments that didn't want to work together and worked against the best for the company.

LevelBlue is a mess. They're aggressively acquiring companies as a means to gain a foothold in the cybersecurity industry -- effectively buying their way to the top in to an already crowded market. But they're doing so with no plan for how new teams should be merged with existing ones and there doesn't appear to be clear direction with how the company will integrate acquired technologies. Plans change almost daily with too many cooks in the kitchen each jockeying to be at the lead.

You are exposed to so many products and systems that you can't help but learn. This is one of the drawbacks: turnover can be quite high, as people work for six months to a year or so and change departments or go somewhere else. Less pay than average for the industry, but if you're gainfully employed you should be grateful, as I am. Great people, managers (at least in my area) that don't micromanage.
