Improper management will soon lead this company in the ground.  They hire unprofessional management (in all of their entities from what I've witnessed) probably because the salary is not much. They are COMPLETELY unorganized and drive their best workers away. They show no regret or fault of their own. They blame all of their mishaps on the "angry employee syndrome" and that is no where near the case. They need to take accountability for their unfair and biased treatment of employees because it has had a horrible reflect on their patients as well. With the low pay and low benefits they offer, it's definitely not worth a waste of your time. 

I've worked for Tryon for a little over a year now, and I have really enjoyed my time with the company. My coworkers are pleasant, and the physicians that work here are cooperative and generally very nice. As with any workplace, there is occasional gossip and management can sometimes be a little heavy handed when responding to what I would consider normal office behavior (people on their phones, etc.). If patients are rude, physicians and management are good to step in on behalf of support staff (at least at my location). If I have gone to management with concerns I do feel they listen and respond, which is more than I can say for my previous employer. I have learned that the location or department you work for plays a huge role in job satisfaction- some departments are better than others. Management is also very supportive of employees taking medical leave if needed and generally good about working around other commitments employees might have. 

Working at Tryon Medical's call center for a little over a year has been a true joy. The manager is always willing to provide guidance and creates a very "open door" policy with the employees. I know that if there is ever an issue, she will make sure that it is taken care of right then and there. The employees at the call center regularly do potlucks and organize things to make the work day more fun. The frequent and brief team meetings allow for a great flow of information between management and employees. I highly recommend Tryon Medical, not just in the call center. Higher level management is very open to suggestions on what can be improved and even recently hired a workflow enhancement professional to help with the call center's workflow after having a couple weeks of high call volume. I knew from my first day at orientation with HR that Tryon Medical was the company for me. 

TMP has a teamwork centered approach to provide an excellent, caring, educational experience for every patient. As a clinical team member, the work is fast paced, involves clinical and computer skills, and the patient is put first with compassion and care. It can be challenging to have a busy patient schedule, manage phone calls, prescription refills, and other clinical duties, but our team helps each other to accomplish what needs to be done each day. Management is very supportive, listens to ideas, suggestions, and concerns, and is quick to address issues that are brought to them. Advanced education is supported. Patient centered care is the most enjoyable part of my job, as it is the reason I became a nurse.

I'd say my time at Tryon Medical wasn't the greatest, but it was better than some experiences elsewhere. The coworkers varied from really nice to extremely difficult to deal with. Whether it was a good experience depended on who you knew and their attitude. I'm unsure if I'd recommend it to friends, though I will acknowledge the stark contrast in treatment between medical assistants and registered nurses. The managers were great, but often unable to fully resolve issues with problematic coworkers, which could exacerbate problems. There is  a lot of work that needs to be done company wise, especially with new policies and managing employee PTO requests. Despite frequent hiring, there was always a shortage of staff compared to the patient load.

What is the best part of working at the company?
My coworkers and my direct manager. They were all fantastic people who cared about their patients. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being forced to either take the COVID vaccine or lose my job. I chose to be fired instead of forced to take a shot of an untested vaccine to which I was already seeing negative outcomes from my patients.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You work under fear of doing something that will make someone in management unset therefore losing your job. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My work day was very busy because I offered to help in other area outside of my own area; Cross training was very much encouraged.

TMP does an excellent job of balancing the highest quality medical care for patients with a clinician friendly environment. Clinicians at TMP are smart and work hard for value-based care for patients by reducing healthcare costs, promoting evidence-based preventive medicine, encouraging high quality referrals, and working collaboratively among multi-specialty colleagues. In a healthcare environment where there are a lot of demands and stressors, TMP really listens to clinicians and makes strong efforts to promote work-life balance and protect independence such as control of staffing, schedule, vacation, etc. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I really wanted to be a part of Tryin medical because I believe the doctors and facilitators are top notch.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The location I worked for had fellow employees that were not supportive or able to handle new employee questions very well.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The physicians were wonderful but the administration staff had many flaws when providing support to fellow employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Vey busy which I enjoy.  There is always something to do or help out with.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Coworkers are the best part of this position. Management tries to appear supportive but they’re fickle at best and led by their leaders. They’re not looking out for your best interests. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not knowing where you stand. Will you have a job tomorrow? Or will you be walked out to fatten the physicians pockets? 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrifying. Will you be led out? How about your coworker? Can you finish your shift? 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typically days start out fine, but you truly never know where you stand with physician (knee jerk) leadership.

Some days are more fast paced than others depending on the patient load.  Employees are very good at helping each other out if they see a need and they can help with it.  We are like a big family in our office and take care of each other if the need arises, such as surgeries, births or deaths in the family.  The hardest part of the job is to deal with angry patients who don't understand why they are being billed for things, most people think insurance pays for everything.   The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing patients I have been checking in for many years and hearing about their families and travels since I have seen them last.
