The benefits and salary are great (especially if you started after 2015-2017), but not balanced and employees aren't treated equal. (Saw many folks hired 4+ years after their EQUAL peer, starting at $30-40k+ higher than the others salary AFTER their yearly bumps).

Politics at certain (most) levels are INSANE and brutal, and still a sense of an old "good boys club" in some departments, especially those with long tenure (anything >4 years is considered "long" due to constant turnover/firing/burn-out).

Great opportunities to implement and try out all sorts of new technologies, but some older managers/higher ups often butt heads against the most illogical/old-school way of doing things, just because that's what they know/haven't advanced since they started.. (Digital's WPS that's you).

If you give them an inch (against your work/life balance, offering to step in to cover, etc.) they will take a mile; repeated until you're completely overwhelmed and then blame you for it -- without any oversight or knowledge of what their employees actually do, have done, or responsible for.

Again, LOTS of knowledge gained over the years - lots of good friends and relationships I have made, great benefits and salary (you need to apply SOME pressure to continue to raise it/promotions vs. outside consultants) which is like walking a tight rope..  

If you can handle it and have a lot of self-drive and eager to educate yourself/step outside your comfort zone, it's great for resume -- but know your limits and when to say enough is enough - but enjoy while you can!

At WWE, you exchange any semblance of a work-life balance, career progression, personal growth and development, and job security in exchange for getting to say you work at WWE. There are positives: the benefits are solid, and the people at management levels and lower are generally highly skilled and a delight to work with. 

But if you are below the Executive or VP level, you simply do not matter and it is made clear on a regular basis. Layoffs occur regularly with little explanation, leaving people in disarray and overextended in terms of their responsibilities. If they invested more in employees at management and lower levels, they would thrive and flourish. Instead, they count on the aforementioned bargain to get away with being mediocre in terms of operations and culture. Chaos rules the day. 

Right now the organization succeeds in spite of itself, and any business operating the way WWE does in any other industry would collapse almost instantly. The company so badly wants to be mainstream and legitimate, but it would not get away with how it operates if it were under that sort of microscope. 

My time at the WWE was relatively short. However, a typical day in the office would include every morning to visit my supervisor, and discussing the projects and duties that needed to be worked on that day. Which would include documenting previously aired WWE programs for use by other departments within the company. As well as providing a document of information regarding competing programs whenever a WWE program was aired. The information we obtained was through Nielsen Ratings. The handling of this information was done by my supervisor; however, I assisted with taking this information and updating special documents when needed. My co-workers were very lively and friendly and you could tell that they did in fact enjoy working there. I got along with my supervisors swimmingly, oftentimes asking them questions in regards to the work I was doing, and if I had a question on how to do something I never hesitated to ask. But overall, although my internship only lasted 4 months, and I had not learned everything there is to know in the realm of Market Research, I enjoyed my time at the WWE.

Working as a Production Assistant at WWE NXT was an incredible experience that provided valuable insight into live event production. My role involved seat arrangement and filling, managing bus wristbands for attendees, and ensuring smooth logistics. One of the most rewarding aspects was working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, where adaptability and quick problem-solving were essential.  

I had the opportunity to collaborate with a professional team and witness firsthand the coordination required to produce a live wrestling show. The experience sharpened my communication and organizational skills, particularly when handling unexpected challenges, such as correcting a mix-up with wristbands.  

Beyond the technical skills, the energy of the WWE Universe was electrifying, making the job even more exciting. This experience reinforced my passion for live entertainment production and event management. Overall, working at WWE NXT was both challenging and rewarding, offering valuable lessons that will benefit my career in the industry.

A typical day at work as an intern has me coming in at 9am, with fresh brewed coffee waiting at the starbucks machine. They gave me my own desk right away with the other employees, who are a joy to work with. My assigned tasks, even as an intern, makes me feel like I'm making a real difference and getting into the core operations of the company. My supervisors are very nice, and provide guidance while creating a manageable workload. The hardest part of the job is the monotony of excel, which you learn to overcome very quickly. Other than that, I love it. I've learned a great deal about corporate finances, excel, how a company is managed, how taxes and returns on stocks are handled and distributed. I get a decent lunch break, there is a fully equipped gym, the cafeteria is great, and the atmosphere of the building fits the WWE, edgy and cool.

In a wrestling match, you get taken down. Do you put your head down or look for the immediate escape or reversal?

If you don’t feel the best after weigh-ins do you use it as an excuse to underperform? Or do you focus on the task at hand and use it as a test of how tough you can be?

You are going through tough times at home or in your relationship. Do you feel sorry for yourself and have a poor practice or do you stay focused on your goals?

You are going to have to wrestle off a tough teammate next year to make the starting spot. Does this motivate you to work harder or do you pout and even think about or use it as an excuse to quit?

If you have your goals set on something worthwhile you must know there are going to be setbacks.

You need to deal with them as they come along and embrace them as a way you can improve your mental toughness.

Anyone that has achieved a significant goal has dealt with adversity and had to stay on course.

The typical day for anyone in the production world is at least ten hours. The work is fast paced, deadline oriented, and requires a lot of creativity and outside the box thinking. There are no gophers at WWE - from the instant you start work as a production assistant you are heavily involved in the actual production of whichever project you are working on. As a PA, I was writing scripts, editing segments, and learning on the fly. 

The hardest part of the job is that WWE really should be more staffed. The bulk of work falls to a relatively small group, and it makes having the proper job/life balance tough, but the flip side of that is you get invaluable experience right off the bat.

From the day you start, WWE will give you endless opportunities to gain first hand production experience in any area that you choose compared to other companies where you have to rise the ranks before getting this same up close exposure. With that opportunity also comes high expectations that will push you and make you better at what you do as long as you put in the time and effort. There is also constant work to be done and traveling a plenty to get onto the road and create content. Sometimes the lack of planning or communication during production can be frustrating, but at the same time this is the Television world after all. In the end if you enjoy being creatively challenged and want to get any kind of experience you can get your hands on, this is a wonderful place to work with lots of pride in what they do.

I have been an Assistant Producer for two years at World Wrestling Entertainment.  This position has provided me to wear many hats and allowed me to dive into all facets of production!  It ranges from directly supporting Producers in the creation of shows for major television networks, to having extensive experience producing long form programming, cutting blockbuster movie trailers, promos, and packages across multiple editing platforms.  I travel across the country to live events, shoots, and practice non-linear editing on a daily basis.  Storytelling is a huge aspect of the job along with repackaging and editing shows for digital distribution.  I truly care about the quality of the product. Even though I gained valuable knowledge of post and live production at WWE, I want to start working in the world I am most passionate about.

Far and away the worst company I have ever worked for. I was warned on day one about the terrible work culture and lack of employee retention, and I wish I'd listened. Management maintained a list of every minor infraction--down to email spelling errors--I'd made since the first day, and threatened revocation of a full time position more than once. I was ultimately fired over the phone, by someone I had never met, on a weekend, for an "incident" involving my sitting in a chair near my desk, as opposed to my actual desk seat, which I can only interpret as retaliatory action by my supervisor. This company has zero redeeming qualities other than rapidly fading name recognition. Definitely work here if you value an aggressive work environment, bizarre management behavior, and condescension.
