Practice leadership acknowledges work culture positives and negatives and makes appropriate changes when aware of issues.  Manager provide me with recognition and offers constructive feedback for professional development when appropriate.  Leadership with both physicians and managers attempt to help with work/life balance by flexing work schedules when able to.  The benefits are above average with the exception of PTO accrual.  Work load is fair and you are encouraged to seek out help from coworkers and managers if you are unable to complete tasks associated with your job role.  This practice has an Activity Committee comprised of staff members from all departments that work hard to provide fun, interactive activities to promote team building and healthy work environment.

The position itself was a good start for someone trying to get their feet in the medical field.  The doctors are very kind, hard working, and medical professionals that I would definitely trust for my own medical needs, should I have ever had been a patient at the practice.

However, I feel like there was a certain competition to see who could do the "most" and also upshow others on the team.  I also feel like management could have spent more time mentoring and coaching with concrete proof.  For example, something along the lines of "this is what I have seen specifically, let's sit together and problem solve to see how we could make this better for everyone."  I feel like management, as people, are great in terms of remembering their employees as people (interests, families, etc.), but I do think that there could be some work in terms of actively trying to really help their employees.

I did enjoy my department and wish the company the best of luck.

This place is a joke, if you do not brown nose the management then they do not even know you exist. You can be the best employee that they have but if you don't kiss management's behind or you question their rules and regulations they will treat you like dirt. They will not give good references even if you leave on good terms, and even at a doctors request, they will deny a rehire with no reason. Please do not work for this company. They will lie to you when you are hired about raises and tell you there are opportunities for advancement, but there is not. If only the doctors really new what the management did to the employees and why their turnover rate is so high. In one year, the turnover was over 70 employees
 This place needs a whole new management makeover, their business would thrive and be more successful if they did.

This business is in deep. From management to finance. Don’t waste your time or dedication. The owners do not care about this place being run into the ground. Quality patient care is non-existing. There not open consistent, random hours. Inexperienced office management, billing is a mess, staff working their tails off and no compensation, expected travel to other office with no compensation. Total “drama island”when it comes to higher staffing and management. Gossiping and disrespectful attitudes thrown from most all employees. Too bad because it is a beautiful facility and had potential. People need to get their lives together...I ran...ran....away! Thanks but No thanks. 

Rooming patients , vitals, vaccine. Adult and pediatric. Fast paced. Lots of documentation fantastic providers! Assisting with small procedures. Cleaning and stocking rooms prescription refills, applying for scholarship money for patients who can’t afford their medicine returning patients phone calls. This office has their own x-ray and lab on site which is fantastic.

The only thing I disliked was the pay. Everything else was fantastic! However, the pay is really below average. It’s not competitive and it’s not enough to afford the cost of living in this area. They don’t pay employees their worth and that’s why I believe the turnover rate is extremely high. On top of that they only offer MONTHLY pay so if you can’t adapt to that then don’t even apply. Lunch is provided on most days so that helps you save a little bit of money

Pay is monthly, insurance is expensive. You accrue your time off which makes planning vacations difficult. days off and sick days are also accrued . Your PTO,SICK DAYS and Personal days all come from the same place. They also do things like close the day after thanksgiving, but if you want to get paid for that day you have to use your own PTO. That is not right.

Unless you are in desperate need of a job, do not work here. Management is a joke. They will constantly insult you and belittle you even in front of other employees. They will mark you as not eligible for rehire even if you leave on good terms. The turnover rate is unreal. I wish the doctors would see how sketchy their management staff is. The doctors are fantastic. They genuinely care about the patients.

I have worked there for 1.5 years now and I love it. Recent change to clinical manager has created a healthy work environment. Just like any job you won’t get along with all your coworkers but it is easy to make friends with the ones around you. The doctors are easy to work with and even if it is not usually who you work with they make sure to answer as many questions as you have. 

I love working for Wake Internal Medicine. Great pay and benefits. Management is envolved without micromanaging. Highly recommend. I've worked here four years and very happy here.
