Previous employee of over a decade with the best manager possible. I wouldn't have lasted so long without her. The work was unique, challenging, manageable and tailored to each client's needs and had created a solid reputation with long time clients. I loved that the clients knew that they could depend on me for expedited needs. However, after bringing in the exes from the acquisition to restructure the process it instead ended up slowing production to a crawl creating tension among the employees, the clients, and the managers. Many employees are now dealing with serious job insecurities and anxiety due to the overwhelming demands for extra unfamiliar and unnecessary work in addition to the overwhelming issues that are being creates due to the partial restructuring. It's a hot mess and has been since about August 2023. There are a handful of really talented people left with 10+ years of service left there and I have hope that they will either end up the recognition and pay that they deserve for all that they have put up with this past month rat or end up finding a employer more deserving of their talents. 

I can not speak for all of Workcare, but the Covid RN Screener position is not it. Working remote is a plus they will supply your equipment if needed. The supervisor are very helpful and encouraging. The management is a problem. Communication is not very good. The schedules are made a month to months in advance. They will change your schedule without notice a few days before the on coming month or week. You will have to rearrange your plans to accommodate their bad scheduling. The turnover is very high for a reason. Please take screenshots of your schedules. The money is ok but not worth the hassle. Work life balance is something to be desired if you plan according to the set schedules.

Training and onboarding are inadequate, leaving new staff unprepared
Workload expectations are unrealistic and stressful
Company culture is demoralizing, and feedback is routinely disregarded

WorkCare is my dream job come true! I have a great relationship with my supervisor and peers. The culture is collaborative, helpful, respectful, hard-working, and my team is always willing to jump in and lend a hand. The company focuses on professional growth and supporting you in your career development. Work-life balance is amazing! Not only is WorkCare flexible, they just announced summer flex hours which is something I wasn’t expecting but I’m very happy about. All in all, I am very happy and satisfied with WorkCare and give the company my highest recommendation. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay was good, at first. Then, bonuses and raises stopped.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with HR. They do not respond to emails. If you ask again, they complain.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Discouraging. Lots of people are getting laid off. So, everyone is on edge.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Extremely busy. Most people, outside of HR, are nice.

They seem nice at first, but not even 3 days intotraining you are expected to go right to work. They do not care if you know what you are doing or have what you need to do the job. I was very disappointed and really thought it would be a good company to work for. They have an extremely high turn over rate and just try to keep positions filled on a constant basis. I really don't even understand how the companies they provide a service for tolerates the product they provide. Is is a very subpar service.

There is really nothing positive about performing services for this company and not being paid.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Repeatedly billing and calling and emailing trying to get paid for the services I rendered.

Disorganized staff communication

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I work remote . The services are requested intermittently

First they are kind of behind  for remote working, you have to have your own landline for calls to do your role. They don't have an actual IT dept, which was a huge challenge in itself.  They have all these titles and higher ups running everything but they lack training time frames. They rush you into the position without a decent length of real indebt training. Everything is micro managed. The pay should be more for the actual job expectations. It was an exhausting experience. 

If you’re not in the “in” crowd, expect to be gossiped about.  If you take breaks at the same time with certain folks, others automatically judge.  There is no privacy or discretion with HR.  Middle managers are puppets and whip crackers and they displace their dissatisfaction on their subordinates.  Go in to fill the gaps and keep looking elsewhere.  Don’t expect career advancement here.
