Job Summary

Seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support across various practice areas, including bankruptcy, civil litigation, and debtor/creditor law. Your expertise will help streamline case management, facilitate effective communication, and ensure the smooth operation of our legal services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment while honing your skills in diverse areas of law.

Duties

Manage and maintain legal case files using document management systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and reports with precision and attention to detail.
Assist with document review, data entry, filing, and organizing case materials.
Coordinate client interviews, schedule meetings, and manage attorney calendars to optimize workflow efficiency.
Support attorneys with project management tasks
Handle administrative duties such as answering phones with professional etiquette, managing email correspondence, proofreading documents for accuracy, transcribing dictations accurately, and maintaining organized filing systems.
Provide executive administrative support by preparing reports and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a legal secretary or legal administrative assistant with familiarity in law office operations.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents with exceptional writing skills; ability to proofread meticulously.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
Experience in conducting interviews or client intake is a plus.
Knowledge of document review procedures and familiarity with data entry processes in a legal context is preferred.
Paralegal experience or certification is advantageous but not required; relevant clerical or administrative experience is essential.
