Position: RN ICU
Location: Fortuna, CA 95540
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 18:30)

Traveler Pay :$2,856 weekly ($25/hr W2 + $1,806 weekly stipend)
Local Pay: $50 per hour on W2

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-support interventions. The ideal candidate possesses strong critical thinking skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill patients.
Monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamic data, cardiac rhythms, and laboratory results to identify changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and vasoactive drips in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and CRRT equipment as applicable.
Provide care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, sedation, and other critical care interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Perform emergency interventions, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), during medical emergencies and code situations.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning when appropriate.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to support staff while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Participate in unit-based education, staff meetings, and continuous professional development

Qualifications:

Years of experience: 1 yr
ACLS, BLS, PALS
Required, Epic
