Full Job Description

Sprout House is looking for an experienced, dependable Line Cook to join us ASAP at our food trailer on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.

We’re not your typical food truck. Sprout House is all about fresh, high-quality food made with organic, local and non-GMO ingredients whenever possible. Our menu includes breakfast sandwiches, plant-forward sandwiches and bowls, smoothies, açaí bowls and other feel-good food — all served steps from the beach.

We’re looking for someone who can step into the kitchen confidently, work independently and keep their cool during busy summer rushes.

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing and cooking menu items consistently and efficiently
Working the grill, fryer and other kitchen equipment
Following Sprout House recipes and presentation standards
Completing prep and restocking before and during service
Maintaining a clean, organized and food-safe workspace
Handling busy boardwalk rushes while maintaining quality
Working as part of a small team where everyone helps each other

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal person is:

Experienced in a restaurant, café, food truck or other fast-paced kitchen
Comfortable working independently on the line
Reliable and on time
Fast, organized and able to multitask
Able to follow recipes and directions consistently
Positive and respectful toward coworkers and customers
Someone who genuinely cares about the quality of the food they're putting out

Kitchen experience is strongly preferred.

Immediate Summer Schedule

We are specifically looking for someone available:

Sunday Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday

This position is needed immediately through Labor Day, with additional opportunities to work weekend festivals and events throughout September and October.

Pay

$22-25/hour + tips
