Full Job Description

Casa Garcia’s Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Internal Control Assistant with experience in payroll processing and accounts payable. This role supports our restaurant operations by ensuring accurate financial processes and maintaining strong internal controls in a structured, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
Manage accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and payments.
Maintain internal control procedures for payroll and AP cycles.
Review daily restaurant operational and financial reports.
Enter bookkeeping and financial data into established systems.
Communicate with employees, vendors, customers, and government agencies.
Request and organize reports from restaurant managers (inventories, schedules, etc.).
Provide administrative support to the Office Manager as needed.

Work Style & Expectations

This role follows a structured workflow with clearly defined responsibilities
All training and task direction will be provided by management to ensure consistency
Employees are expected to communicate directly with management regarding questions or priorities
Ability to stay organized, focused, and complete tasks independently once trained is essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy is critical in this role

Qualifications

Experience in payroll and accounts payable required or strongly preferred.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and standard office software.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Ability to follow established procedures and maintain consistency.
Comfortable working in a structured environment with clear direction.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Administrative or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
