Full Job Description

Reisz Siderman Eisenberg, APC, a mid-size West LA civil litigation firm is seeking a litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and experience with document review and memo writing, medical record review and summary, and billing time in a litigation context. Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

Analysis and summary of claim documentation and fact pattern of cases in chronological format, especially involving medical records
Create Excel analysis of special damages according to billing records
Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
Assist attorneys with propounding and responding to written discovery
Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
Summarize and index deposition transcripts, medical, employment, and technical design and construction documents in preparation for trial
Capture all time worked in detailed billing entries using standard language

Skills Required

Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal
Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.
Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
Paralegal certificate or other relevant certification
