Job Overview

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, stoves, and food processors
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly
Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and temperature control of all ingredients
Support menu planning by preparing components for daily specials or catering orders
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control to maintain consistency across all dishes

Requirements

Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff
Experience with meal prep, catering services, or dietary aide roles is a plus
Demonstrated understanding of food industry best practices including recipe adherence and food safety management
