Full Job Description

Position: Experienced Line Cook
Schedule: 25–40 hours per week
Availability: Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Line Cook who is confident working grill and fry stations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate can maintain consistent food quality, work efficiently under pressure, and communicate well with the kitchen team.

This position is best suited for someone who already has professional kitchen experience and can step onto the line with minimal training.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage the grill and fry stations during service
Read and execute tickets accurately and efficiently.
Keep your station stocked, organized, clean, and ready for service.
Complete prep work as assigned.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, and management.
Assist other stations when needed.
Follow opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking procedures.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude during busy services.
Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift.

Qualifications

Previous professional line-cook experience required.
Strong grill and fry experience required.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment.
Strong understanding of cooking temperatures and food safety.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to follow recipes, tickets, and direction from kitchen management.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
ServSafe or other food-safety certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
Ability to regularly walk up and down stairs throughout a shift.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move safely around a busy kitchen.
Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment for extended periods.
Ability to safely handle kitchen equipment, hot surfaces, hot oil, and heavy containers.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a cook who knows the line, takes pride in their work, and can be trusted to handle a station without constant supervision. Reliability, speed, cleanliness, and consistency are just as important as cooking ability.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
