Construction Foreman

We are a residential construction company that builds high-quality custom homes and values craftsmanship, clear communication, personal responsibility, and a strong client experience.

We are looking for an experienced Construction Foreman who takes pride in doing things correctly, plans ahead, communicates problems early, and helps build a dependable team.

Position Overview

The Construction Foreman is responsible for the daily coordination and leadership of the job site. This includes supervising employees and subcontractors, coordinating materials and equipment, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping the project moving according to the plans, schedule, and budget.

The Foreman is responsible for four primary areas:

Communication
Production
Quality control
Job-site safety

Responsibilities

Plan and communicate daily and weekly priorities.
Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, materials, and equipment.
Confirm that adequate manpower and materials are available.
Review plans and ensure work is completed accurately.
Identify and communicate problems before they affect the schedule.
Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe job site.
Track materials, inventory, progress, and upcoming needs.
Train and support apprentices and developing carpenters.
Communicate professionally with clients, designers, and trade partners.
Complete reports, photos, and updates through Buildertrend.

Qualifications

At least three years of experience as a construction foreman or similar residential construction leader.
Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read plans and recognize quality workmanship.
Ability to lay out walls, stairs, and rafters accurately.
Strong math, measuring, and material-estimating skills.
Comfortable leading employees and holding people accountable.
Willingness to train and develop less-experienced team members.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
