Full Job Description

Accounting Manager/Controller : Roscoe, IL

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller to oversee financial operations, lead the accounting team, and serve as a key business partner to company leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys making a meaningful impact on an organization's financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and accounting staff
Partner with Human Resources on payroll, employee benefits, and related reporting
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Complete journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
P repare annual audit schedules, compensation analyses, and other financial reports
Administer business insurance programs and assist with employee benefit plans, including 401(k) and health insurance
Manage year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s, 1095s, and other required tax documents
Ensure timely filing of sales tax, 1099s, state filings, and other regulatory requirements
Review customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits
Collaborate cross-functionally to reconcile financial activity and improve accounting processes

Skills & Experience :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, or a related field , required ; CPA or CMA designation preferred
Experience : 4 + years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment , required . 3+ years of management experience, required .
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles, required .
Software: ERP/accounting software experience, required . Advanced MS Office and proficiency in MS Excel, required .
