Job Overview
Capitini's Italian Deli West in Boca Raton has finally opened and we need more staff NOW!! We need to hire a grill person as well as a salad maker and a counter person! If you'd like to join our vibrant Italian Deli team as a dedicated Cook, Salad Maker, or Counter Person please reach out. These energetic roles offer an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and passion for food service. You will be at the heart of creating delicious, authentic Italian dishes, engaging with customers, and ensuring a memorable deli experience. Whether you’re preparing fresh salads, grilling and cooking our amazing breakfast and lunch creations or assisting customers at the counter, your enthusiasm and expertise will help deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. All positions are paid and designed to foster growth and skill development in the food industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of Italian deli items including sandwiches, salads, and hot dishes with precision and care
Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all food handling activities
Operate POS systems such for order processing, cashiering, and transactions
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and upselling products to enhance sales
Manage time efficiently to ensure quick service during busy hours while maintaining quality standards
Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, vegetables, and packaging orders accurately
Support kitchen operations including bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or retail food industry is a must, training provided for motivated candidates
Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in a quick service or fast-food setting
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
Kitchen experience or culinary background is highly desirable; experience working in a café, deli or grocery store is advantageous
Effective time management skills to ensure timely food prep and customer service excellence
