Senior Corporate Accountant

*Please note: this is a 100% in-office position in East Boston, MA - Office located near airport with company parking available.

Job Description

A Boston based technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team. The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for all payroll and human resource functions as well as assisting with accounting and financial activities. Expertise in financial management, A/P, A/R, payroll, banking, financial reporting, and budget preparation is required. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

CPA or previous experience in public accounting is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

Process and manage payroll for all employees, calculating the correct payments,

incorporating correct taxes, deductions, bonuses commissions, etc.

Ensure regulatory compliance with generally accepted accounting principles is upheld
Manage all HR functions such as employee taxes, payment and benefits
Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance across

multiple industries

Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements and bank

reconciliations

Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations

Managing financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Minimum 8 years of experience

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Advance experience in financial management and accounting software, such as ADP and

Sage

Ability to work independently

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
