Customer Service Specialist – Home Medical Equipment

Location: Brenham, Texas

Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Medi-Care Equipment Specialties, Inc., Texas where we pride ourselves on delivering superior service to our customers and referral sources. As a Customer Service Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals select the appropriate medical equipment and supplies to meet their health needs. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping others, and is eager to learn about a wide range of medical products.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist walk-in and phone-in customers with professionalism and empathy
Help customers select appropriate medical equipment and supplies based on their needs
Learn and understand the function and purpose of various medical products
Enter customer data accurately into the billing system
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
Check inventory and manage product availability
Coordinate with referral sources including physicians and healthcare providers
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
Handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively

Qualifications & Skills

Must be able to work at our Brenham location.
High school diploma or GED required
1 year experience in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) field is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn and retain product knowledge across a wide range of medical supplies
Proficient computer skills, including data entry and basic software navigation
Familiarity with insurance verification and billing systems.
Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
Compassionate, customer-focused attitude
Brightree experience a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
