Full Job Description

The part-time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach with the oversight of the Men's soccer program. The part-time Assistant Coach will support the daily management of the men's soccer program with specific duties of providing physical training and skill development of the student-athletes.

Position Duties

Instructs players individually or in groups demonstrating proper soccer techniques specific to position.
Oversees daily practice of specific group of players to instruct them in areas of deficiency.
Analyzes performance and instructs players in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition.
Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement.
Maintain a working knowledge of and comply with all applicable policies and regulations of Pace University, the Northeast-10 Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Failure to comply with these rules may result in disciplinary action by any of these organizations.
Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Previous college playing and/or coaching experience at the college or high school level required.

Work Hours

Exact hours to be determined by the supervisor; generally, up to 20 hours per week; weekend and some evening work will be required. Must be flexible to attend meetings, practices, games and recruiting events.

CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain. Working knowledge of NCAA DII rules.
Travel to away games required.
Valid driver's license.
