Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Plasma Table Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plasma cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, technical blueprint interpretation, and safety standards will ensure high-quality output and efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative fabrication projects while honing your skills in advanced manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor plasma cutting tables to ensure accurate and efficient cutting of sheet metal and other materials.
Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine proper machine settings and tooling configurations.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plasma cutting equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
Measure finished parts using precision measurement instruments to verify conformance with quality standards.
Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, including forming, welding, and assembly tasks as needed.
Follow safety protocols diligently during all machine operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine maintenance, and quality inspections for traceability.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, plasma tables, or similar CNC fabrication equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Familiarity with CNC programming and setup procedures for various machining tools such as CNC milling machines, lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining (EDM).
Knowledge of shop math, measurement techniques, and precision measurement instruments essential for quality control.
Ability to operate hand tools and fabrication equipment safely while adhering to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes including sheet metal work, forming machines, welding, and assembly.
Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
