Pay: $20 to $22 per hour

Chaumont is hiring an experienced Croissant Shaper / Viennoiserie Production Baker to join our production team.

This position focuses on cutting, portioning, filling, and shaping laminated dough after it has been prepared by the lamination team. We are looking for someone who works carefully, efficiently, and consistently in a professional, high-volume bakery environment.

Available Shifts

Morning shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Applicants may be considered for either shift based on availability and production needs.

Responsibilities

Cut and portion laminated dough according to product specifications
Shape croissants and other viennoiserie products consistently
Fill and assemble chocolate croissants, almond croissants, Danish, turnovers, and specialty pastries
Follow established weights, dimensions, and shaping standards
Arrange products properly on trays for proofing or freezing
Monitor dough condition while shaping and report any quality issues
Work quickly while maintaining accuracy and product consistency
Complete daily production quantities within the scheduled shift
Label, organize, and store finished trays correctly
Follow recipes, production sheets, and supervisor instructions
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
Clean tools, tables, trays, and equipment after production
Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures
Assist with other bakery production tasks when needed

Qualifications

Previous professional bakery experience is preferred
Experience shaping croissants or laminated pastries is strongly preferred
Ability to produce uniform pastries at a consistent speed
Strong attention to detail
Good hand coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift trays, dough, and ingredients as required
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to follow instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation

$20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
