Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the agency's marketing and communications efforts by ensuring that JFS SV's programs, services, events, volunteer opportunities, and community impact are effectively communicated to clients, donors, volunteers, community members, and partners. This role manages the agency's monthly e-newsletter, social media presence, website content, and marketing materials, while coordinating with the graphic design team and collaborating with staff across the organization. The Marketing Coordinator helps maintain a consistent and engaging brand presence and supports outreach efforts that increase awareness of JFS SV's mission, services, and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Communications & Content:

Coordinate JFS SV's monthly e-newsletter, including gathering content, drafting and editing copy, coordinating images and links, building the newsletter, and managing the production and distribution schedule.
Support the marketing activities for the Rick & Doris Davis Center for Aging & Caregiver Services (RDDC), including coordinating monthly e-blasts and social media posts, creation of collateral and other activities as needed.
Develop, schedule, and publish regular social media content, primarily for Facebook and Instagram, that promotes JFS SV's programs, services, events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising initiatives, and community impact.
Maintain a consistent and engaging social media presence that reflects JFS SV's mission,values, and brand voice.
Monitor social media engagement and respond to or route questions and comments as appropriate.
Track basic social media and e-newsletter metrics and provide periodic reports and recommendations to improve engagement.
Work with program staff and members of the Community Engagement team to identify stories, announcements, photos, and other content opportunities.
Ensure content is accurate, timely, inclusive, accessible, and aligned with JFS SV's communications standards.

Website Management:

Regularly review and update website content to ensure information is accurate, current, and relevant.
Add and update program information, events, news, volunteer opportunities, and other content as needed.
Identify outdated or missing information and coordinate with appropriate staff to make updates.
Support basic website content organization and search engine optimization (SEO) practices as appropriate.
Monitor website content and functionality and communicate technical issues or needed improvements to the appropriate staff or vendor.

Graphic Design & Marketing Collateral

Serve as the primary liaison between JFS SV staff and the organization's graphic design team.
Coordinate requests for new flyers, brochures, invitations, social media graphics, event materials, and other marketing collateral.
Gather necessary information and assets from internal staff and communicate project goals, deadlines, and specifications to the graphic design team.
Review drafts for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with JFS SV's brand guidelines.
Assist with the development of simple marketing materials and digital graphics using established templates and brand standards, as appropriate.
Maintain an organized library of current marketing and communications materials and templates.

Internal Collaboration & Support

Work collaboratively with program, development, volunteer, and administrative staff to promote JFS SV's programs and services.
Help develop content calendars and coordinate communications across multiple channels.
Support marketing and communications needs for special events, fundraising campaigns, community initiatives, and organizational announcements.
Assist with other communications and marketing projects as assigned.
Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, nonprofit
communications, or a related field.
Experience managing social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
Experience with email marketing platforms and/or website content management systems preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools preferred.
Ability to coordinate effectively with graphic designers and other creative professionals.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with staff across an organization.
Sound judgment and discretion when working with client stories, photographs, and other sensitive information.

Salary and Benefits:

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00/ hourly. Part-Time, Monday to Friday.

This position is part-time, 20 hours/week. The salary is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

This part-time position is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits, except as required by applicable law.
