Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and talented Pastry Chef and <PERSON> to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft exquisite baked goods, desserts, and pastries while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a key member of our kitchen, you will bring creativity, precision, and enthusiasm to every project, delighting our customers with your culinary expertise. Your responsibilities will include preparing a variety of pastries, cakes, and baked items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and collaborating with the team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.

Duties

Prepare a wide range of baked goods including cakes, pastries, cookies, and bread with attention to detail and consistency
Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to create visually appealing presentations
Follow recipes meticulously to ensure product quality and adherence to standards
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
Package finished products for retail or catering purposes while maintaining presentation quality
Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety management protocols and sanitation standards
Assist in food production for high-volume events or daily service, ensuring timely delivery of all items

Requirements

Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating baking and cake decorating skills
Knowledge of food handling safety practices and food safety management systems
Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Strong knife skills and proficiency in pastry preparation techniques
Experience in food production within the food industry or restaurant environment
Excellent attention to detail in recipe adherence and presentation standards
Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and inventory management
Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
High-volume production experience preferred, especially in catering or restaurant settings
Culinary experience that includes food preparation, baking, and food industry best practices
