Full Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of a global organization, the VP, Commercial Operations & Data Analytics is a senior role who will serve as the bridge between sales strategy and execution. Will focus on the “machinery” of sales optimizing the processes, data and technology that allow the sales team to scale efficiently.

Essential Job Functions

Strategic Leadership

· Participate in designing territories, setting quotas, and leading sales planning cycles to align with Company goals.

· Develop and execute the overall sales strategy aligned with company growth.

· Serve as a trusted partner to the Sr VP Commercial and Executive team

· Drive operational scalability to support revenue growth and market expansion.

· Lead annual sales planning process including quota setting, territory design and capacity modeling.

Process Optimization

· Own the forecasting methodology developing sales funnel, from lead generation to contact management, to reduce friction and speed the sales cycle.

· Partnering with finance to develop revenue plans, budgets and performance targets.

· Analyze sales performance trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

· Monitor KPI’s and drive accountability across sales team.

Technology Management

· Overseeing the implementation and adoption of the sales technology systems such as CRM platform such as SalesForce

· Expert in PowerBI to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy and system adoption.

· Evaluate and implement sales tools, automation solutions and AI-driven technologies.

Compensation & Budgeting

· Designing incentive structures, commission plans and bonuses to drive the right sales behavior while maintaining the department budget.

· Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, productivity and conversion rates.

· Standardize best practices across sale regions.

· Lead initiatives to reduce sales cycle length and improve pipeline quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Establish executive dashboards and performance reporting framework.

· Support board-level reporting and executive presentations.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing and product teams, to ensure the sales organization has the resources and alignment it needs to be successful.

Skills & Experience

Technical Proficiency – Mastery of CRM (SalesForce) systems, data visualization tools and project management framework.

Proven leadership to manage a team of operations managers and analysts while having the ability to influence executive level decision-making.

Education and Experience and/or equivalent

· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, marketing or related field. MBA or advanced degree. Preferred.

· 10+ years of progressive experience in sales operations, revenue operations, business operations or related functions

· 5+ years of leadership experience managing sales operations teams

· Deep knowledge of CRM (SalesForce or Microsoft Dynamics 364).

· Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills

· Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive organizational change

· Knowledge of revenue operations (RevOps) framework and methodologies

· Experience in Life Science tools is preferred but not required.
