Full Job Description

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour to start

Job description:

For more than 40 years, our General Engineering Construction business, based in San Diego County, CA, proudly serving various agencies. We specialize in underground sewer and water installation. Our experienced professionals have completed miles of pipeline projects.

ISO: An enthusiastic and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. The perfect candidate will have a passion for numbers, experience in payroll processing, organization, recordkeeping, and a solid grasp of labor and prevailing wage laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Process 50-65 employee Timecards.

Review and reconcile Timecards and payroll
Maintain organized payroll records
Assist with payroll taxes and other deductions being accurately processed.
Respond to inquiries from employees about payroll-related issues.
Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Assist with other areas of accounting.
Assist with payroll-related duties, such as benefits administration and onboarding new hires.
Maintain knowledge and compliance with prevailing wage laws, federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop and maintain productive professional relationships with employees and departments.
Remain up to date with payroll best practices, trends, and processes.

Other Responsibilities include Developing and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness, Analyzing data and providing reports, and Collaborating with other departments to ensure successful operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred.

A working knowledge of LCP Tracker, DIR eCPR, PRISM & navigating and understanding DIR PW determinations.
Working knowledge of certified payroll and labor compliance is preferred.
Must have working knowledge of email, data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel and company account access via online portals.
General understanding of the various disciplines and procedures utilized by the Construction industry.

Must have a clean California Driver Record on hand (no older than 30 days)
Must have California Driver's License on hand
