POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the organization. This role supports operational efficiency by tracking inventory transactions, conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Maintain accurate inventory records through routine cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations.
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure system and physical inventory accuracy.
· Monitor inventory transactions and verify the timely and accurate movement of materials throughout the warehouse.
· Perform regular bay audits to ensure inventory is stored in designated locations and complies with established organizational standards.
· Correct inventory and location inconsistencies identified during bay audits, including misplaced, mislabeled, or improperly recorded items.
· Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or non-functional transponders and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
· Assist with inventory adjustments and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues and improve inventory accuracy.
· Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools to update records and generate reports.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory control processes, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and inventory management best practices.
· Perform other inventory control and warehouse support duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- On-the-job training is provided. No previous experience is required to perform the job.
- Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Inventory Control Specialist works primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels. This position requires regular walking throughout the facility, standing for extended periods, and occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting materials up to established company limits. Employees may operate or work in close proximity to forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment while adhering to all safety protocols. The role involves routine interaction with inventory storage locations, inventory management systems, and warehouse personnel to maintain accurate inventory records and support operational efficiency. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required based on work area and job duties.
