The Tractor Technician is tasked with diagnosing mechanical problems, performing repairs, and carrying out maintenance on tractors. This role ensures that all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The Technician is responsible for troubleshooting issues, replacing or repairing defective parts, and adhering to safety standards. Routine inspections and thorough documentation of all maintenance and repair activities are also key aspects of this position.

Essential Functions:

Diagnoses mechanical failures and repairs tractors and its components according to manuals, factory specifications, and knowledge of engine performances, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments: Attaches compression, ignition, and timing test instruments to certain parts of tractor, using clamps and hand tools.
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
Keep logs on work and issues
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
May perform diagnosis and repair in the field

Must have your own tools, we provide large shop type tools that are newer quality tooling & specialty engine tools
3+ years of experience performing service repairs
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment
Valid CA driver’s license required
