Full Job Description

About the Role

As a Data Center Infrastructure Lead, you will spearhead the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of critical network and cabling systems. You will provide essential leadership to technical crews, ensuring that all infrastructure projects are executed with precision, safety, and high-quality standards to support mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of technicians, overseeing daily project workflows and ensuring all work meets rigorous quality and safety standards.
Execute the installation, termination, and testing of complex copper and fiber optic cabling systems within high-density data center environments.
Interpret detailed blueprints, floor plans, and building documentation to ensure accurate infrastructure deployment and redline updates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve project obstacles, track performance metrics, and provide structured progress reports.
Manage the lifecycle of MDF and IDF closets, including cable dressing, labeling, and equipment patching.
Maintain meticulous project documentation, including timesheets, service logs, and post-project closeout reports.

Required Skills

Proven experience leading technical crews in a data center or mission-critical environment.
Proficiency in fiber and copper testing, troubleshooting, splicing, and termination techniques.
Strong understanding of low-voltage cabling standards, wiring schemes, and network infrastructure.
Ability to read and interpret complex architectural blueprints and floor plans.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations and project requirements.

Preferred Skills

Experience with network equipment patching and T1 line extensions.
Familiarity with QA/QC processes and project handover procedures.
Strong analytical skills for identifying and documenting lessons learned to improve future project efficiency.
