Overview

Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Home Health Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients receiving home healthcare services. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to individuals across various stages of life, including seniors, those with disabilities, and patients requiring end-of-life care. Your energy and commitment will help promote independence, comfort, and dignity in the familiar setting of their homes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact on community health.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards to protect patient confidentiality
Support patients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to promote a safe and comfortable environment
Use patient transfer methods safely, including Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices, to prevent injury during mobility assistance
Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for patients with dementia or experiencing end-of-life care needs

Experience

Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings is required.
Demonstrated ability to work with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia care needs
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and home health care regulations
Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and safe lifting techniques for heavy lifting tasks
Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is valued
Experience working independently in live-in employment settings or providing long-term care demonstrates reliability and dedication
