Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to oversee operations within our Enhanced Behavior Support Home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities that exhibit extremely challenging behavior. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to supervise and manage a multi-disciplinary support team, collaborating with agencies and families, and implementing behavior support plans effectively while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing high-quality care to residents.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
Maintain client and employee files in compliance with Title 17 and Title 22 regulations.
Ensure all staff and consultants maintain compliance with all regulations, policies, and and company procedures
Ensure compliance with medication administration guidelines, including storage and documentation per regulations
Develop, implement, and manage staffing schedules and that staffing ratios are maintained at all times.
On-site at the facile a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Provide leadership to ensure high standards of care and service delivery
Directly supervise Direct Support Professionals, Lead Direct Support Professionals, and Registered Behavior Technicians.
Maintain staff training records and certifications (e.g. CEUs, DSP, CPI, CPR, RBT.)
Interview and hire qualified staff and conduct new hire orientation
Ensure all staff complete a minimum of 16 hours of emergency intervention training annually.
Act as liaison with: families, Consultants, Regional Centers, Department of Developmental Services, Department of Social Services, Day/ Work Programs.
Oversee payroll and payroll records
Available for after hour calls in the event of an emergency
Ensure monthly consultant hours are met for each resident
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care, including all annual medical care.
Coordinate monthly Enhanced Behavior Support Team meeting and maintain documentation of the meetings.
Implement and develop community-based activities and interests that are aligned with resident's goals and desires.
Ensure the safety, dignity and privacy of each resident at all times.
Provide training and support for staff on best practices in providing enhanced behavior support services.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of prior experience acting as an administrator that provided supervision and management in an adult residential facility, specialized home, RCFE, or EBSH, or in a developmental center or psychiatric facility.
DSP I and DSP II
Current RBT certification or licensed psychiatric technician, or qualified behavior modification professional
Current ARF Administrator Certification
Current First Aid/CPR and CPI certification (in-person training)
Administrator must complete the Residential Orientation Services training
Background clearance and maintain fingerprint clearance during entire employment
Valid Drivers License
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Relevant certifications or degrees as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, Registered Nurse, Mental Health Professional, or healthcare administration are advantageous.
