What You'll Do

As our Construction Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our field operations, leading crews, managing heavy equipment, and keeping complex remediation and earthwork projects running at peak performance. Specifically, you will:

Own the field. Provide direct leadership and oversight of onsite crews and heavy equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality day-to-day construction operations
Connect the big picture to boots on the ground. Align Eleven Engineering's company goals and objectives with daily site operations — from project initiation through final closure
Champion safety. Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our company health and safety programs across all assigned projects
Drive project execution. Oversee all phases of contract performance including pre-project start-up, resource allocation, cost controls, material buy-out, and change order negotiations
Keep stakeholders informed. Utilize project control tools to report accurate daily progress, compile project status reports, and clearly communicate milestones and results
Manage the numbers. Analyze physical progress and financial data to generate timely, accurate forecasts — including completion timelines and financial performance
Grow client relationships. Build and nurture strong client partnerships that foster trust, drive repeat business, and create new opportunities
Develop your team. Proactively coach and mentor project teams, maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity from start to finish
Handle the business side. Generate, prepare, and submit invoices in accordance with contract terms; perform estimating for change orders and, depending on experience, new business pursuits

What You Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on leadership experience in environmental remediation construction
Experience: 10+ years managing construction projects involving soil treatment and stabilization, groundwater treatment, site preparation, excavation, earthwork, and/or utility and underground construction
Leadership track record: A career history that demonstrates progressive growth in financial responsibility and supervisory accountability — with a proven ability to meet company goals
Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; high proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project)
Self-direction: Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
Field readiness: Comfortable working in construction environments with exposure to dust, noise, and variable weather conditions
Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and manage day-to-day operations in the field (approximately 25% travel)
