Overview

Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily residential communities! In this energetic role, you will support the overall operations of the property, ensuring a seamless experience for residents and maintaining the property's value. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help foster a vibrant community environment while managing administrative tasks with precision. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the real estate industry, utilizing your property management expertise and customer service talents to make a real difference.

Duties

Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, collection, resident relations, and maintenance coordination
Support lease or rental agreement management, ensuring all documentation complies with Fair Housing regulations and legal standards
Use property management tools such as AppFolio and Rent Manager to update records, process rent payments, and generate reports
Handle client communication professionally via phone, email, and in person, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Oversee property maintenance requests and coordinate facilities management activities to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment
Contribute to budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting for the property
Support compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and Section 8 programs, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations

Skills

Demostrated ability in leasing and collections
Proven experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Rent Manager, and CMMS systems
Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and lease management procedures
Excellent customer service skills with an ability to handle conflict management and negotiation effectively
Demonstrated ability in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and contract management
Knowledge of property maintenance procedures and facilities management best practices
Effective team management skills coupled with office experience in administrative roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and correspondence
Experience working within property management companies or similar real estate environments is highly desirable
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
