Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Green Genie Cannabis Company – Detroit, MI

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $50,000–$70,000 Salary Per Year (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends as Needed, Holidays as Needed

About Us

Green Genie Cannabis Company is one of Detroit's premier cannabis provisioning centers, serving both medical and adult-use customers. We are looking for a creative, energetic, and highly organized Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to help grow our brand, engage our customers, and keep our marketing running smoothly every day.

This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same. The ideal candidate is comfortable creating content, taking photos and videos, managing multiple social media platforms, working with vendors, and promoting in-store events and daily specials.

Responsibilities

Manage all day-to-day social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Google Business Profile, and other platforms)
Create engaging photo, video, and graphic content
Film and edit short-form videos and reels
Photograph new products and create promotional advertisements
Design digital menus, flyers, TV advertisements, and promotional materials
Schedule and publish daily content
Respond to customer comments and messages professionally
Monitor online reputation and help increase Google reviews
Coordinate with vendors for product launches, promotions, and events
Plan and promote in-store events and special sales
Keep the company website and online menus updated
Track marketing performance and recommend improvements
Assist with email and SMS marketing campaigns
Ensure all marketing complies with Michigan cannabis advertising regulations
Work with management to develop monthly marketing calendars and promotional strategies

Qualifications

Experience in social media management
Experience creating content for business accounts
Strong photography and videography skills
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar design/editing software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Self-motivated with attention to detail
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

Cannabis industry experience
Retail marketing experience
Experience with Meta Business Suite
Experience with Google Business Profile
Experience using AI tools for marketing and content creation
Knowledge of cannabis products and compliance regulations
