Full Job Description

Treasure Valley Dermatology is a thriving, high-volume dermatology office known for providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a responsible, kind, professional, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team.

We value a healthy work-life balance and strive to maintain a supportive and positive work environment for all staff members.

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll support our dermatology providers with a range of clinical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Medical scribing using Apple OIS EMR
Rooming patients and obtaining HPI
Scheduling appointments
Telephone triage
Medication refills and prior authorizations
Patient education and counseling
Administering and training patients on injections
Medical instrument cleaning and processing
Assisting providers with surgical excisions and Mohs micrographic surgery
Preparing, processing, and logging specimens
Performing NBUVB phototherapy
Operating Excimer and Swift Lasers
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

EMR experience
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Medical office experience (1+ year preferred)
Scribing experience (preferred but not required)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Professionalism and a positive attitude
