We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Professional Services Bookkeeper to join our team in-office (this is not a remote position). The ideal candidate will have experience billing in a professional services environment for busy consultants — and possess strong accounting and communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

As an accounting professional, you will provide direct support to the Partners with another bookkeeper to assist with day-to-day financial operations. You will also interact regularly with internal support staff and consultants to ensure billing is completed in a timely manner, delivering a high level of professional and dependable support throughout our billing lifecycle.

Accounts Payable (AP)

Enter, code, and process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements
Match invoices to receipts and approvals
Maintain vendor records and W‑9 documentation

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Generate and send customer invoices
Post payments and deposits
Track outstanding receivables and assist with collections follow‑up

Payroll Coordination

Collect and review payroll inputs (hours, rates, bonuses, reimbursements)
Coordinate with remote bookkeeper
Review payroll reports for accuracy prior to processing

General Ledger & Month‑End

Code transactions to the general ledger
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with month‑end close and reporting tasks

CPA & Administrative Support

Prepare schedules and documentation for CPA review
Maintain organized financial records and audit trail
Respond to routine accounting and documentation requests

7+ years of bookkeeping experience
Experience with professional consulting services
Experience with cloud‑based accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
Proficient with Google Sheets, Docs.
Highly organized with strong time management and task-prioritization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Able to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Strong interpersonal skills with polished phone and client service etiquette
