Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our organization. This vital role involves managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth daily activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, organizational prowess, and a proactive attitude to create a positive first impression for visitors and clients alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your office management skills within a professional environment that values energetic and motivated team members.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately
Collect co-pays, process payments, and provide receipts
Maintain and organize patient files, both electronic and paper
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Handle appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling
Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with regulations
Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and data entry
Address patient concerns and escalate issues when necessary
Verify insurance eligibility
Fast-paced medical office environment
May require standing or sitting for extended periods
Interaction with patients who may be ill or stressed

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role
Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems (Practice Fusion)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, scheduling systems)
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Insurance verification (Availity, TMHP, Tricare, ETC.)

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
