About Gathering Hope House

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Gathering Hope House is a nonprofit Clubhouse serving adults living with severe and persistent mental illness. Our staff work alongside members, not for them, to build skills, foster hope, and create opportunities for meaningful work, employment, education, and independent living. As a growing organization, we are expanding our behavioral health services while remaining committed to the internationally recognized Clubhouse Model.

Position Summary

This is a hands-on direct service position. The Operations & Employment Coordinator engages members throughout the day using the Clubhouse Model while providing behavioral health services.

You will work alongside our members to help them develop their coping skills and social, vocational, and independent living skills that promote recovery, reduce the impact of mental health symptoms, and increase self confidence and reduce symptoms. This position also coordinates employment programming and supports the daily operations of the Clubhouse to ensure a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide person-centered, recovery-oriented behavioral health services to adults living with serious mental illness.
Provide behavioral health services while maintaining required documentation and productivity standards.
Engage members through the Clubhouse Work-Ordered Day to build daily living, social, vocational, employment, and independent living skills that promote recovery and increase independence.
Support members in identifying strengths, setting goals, obtaining employment, pursuing education, and increasing community participation.
Facilitate groups, member activities, and recovery-oriented programming.
Coordinate employment opportunities, volunteer experiences, and community partnerships.
Coordinate the daily operation of the Clubhouse, including transportation, facilities, equipment, inventory, vendor relationships, and member work units.
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, accreditation, and organizational standards.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, human services, social work, psychology, nonprofit management, or a related field

Experience in behavioral health, community mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, employment services, peer support, or a related human services field. Recent graduates with relevant internship or practicum experience are encouraged to apply.
Valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass required background checks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Commitment to recovery principles, person-centered care, and the Clubhouse Model.
