Full Job Description

AppColl, Inc. provides Intellectual Property software solutions for law firms, corporations, and corporate IP legal departments. Our Centennial, CO office is seeking a Software Engineer to have an immediate impact to the development and direction of our platform, its technologies, and its features. This person has at least couple years’ experience developing web applications; experience across the stack is required —this person will fix bugs, tune databases, and add UI features. You will be an integral part of our Engineering group and communicate extensively with the AppColl team and our customers.

This role is located at our Centennial, CO office. At this time, we are considering local candidates only.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for improving and updating AppColl’s production systems. Everything from small bug fixes to major feature development, to architecture evolution and user interface improvements. If you’ve ever wanted to do a little bit of everything, you’ll be very happy working for AppColl. We primarily use Microsoft products for our development and production systems. Proficiency with .NET and C# is required.

Activities include:

Work directly with our support team to triage —and squash— reported issues
Direct involvement in product feature enhancements, from inception through deployment
Help maintain the integrity, performance, and stability of AppColl’s production systems
Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries
Direct customer requests and unresolved issues to the proper personnel
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments

Education and Experience:

Required

2+ years .NET web development experience (C# required; ASP.NET preferred)
2+ years MS SQL Server
Experience with AWS services
Experience with source control systems and continuous integration (SVN , Jenkins preferred)
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (or equivalent)
Comfortable interacting with customers
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field

Preferred

Experience in Software as a Service (SAAS)/Cloud applications
Solid understanding of computer systems and software
Experience developing end-user software (this is not an internal application)
