Job Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Setup/Operator, where you will be at the forefront of precision machining! In this energetic role, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. Duties

Set up CNC lathe machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance
Program CNC lathes using G-code, Fanuc controls, and CAM programming software to produce precise parts
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing
Operate CNC lathes efficiently while monitoring machine operations for quality and safety compliance
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions
Maintain detailed documentation of setups, inspections, and production logs; adhere to lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC lathes with familiarity in Fanuc or similar control systems
Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code and CAM programming tools
Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and mechanical measurements with tools like calipers and micrometers
Basic understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding, welding, and assembly processes is a plus
Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and precision measuring instruments
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Valid certification or training in CNC machining or related fields is preferred
