Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Psychiatrist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients across diverse populations. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, compassionate care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges, including children, adults, and geriatric populations. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to patient assessment, crisis intervention, and innovative treatment strategies within a supportive clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy), and other evidence-based practices.
Provide psychiatric patient care through inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, and consultation-liaison settings, ensuring adherence to health regulation policies such as HIPAA.
Manage medication regimens responsibly while complying with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and practicing within scope of license.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including medical documentation, data collection, and medical records management using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Offer crisis management support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or trauma-related conditions such as PTSD.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Stay current with developments in clinical psychiatry, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and healthcare diagnosis standards to ensure the highest quality of care.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to behavioral health trends, addiction medicine, pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Experience

Proven post-residency experience in clinical psychiatry with a focus on diverse populations including children, adults, and geriatrics.
Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management (psychopharmacology), and psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
Experience working with patients facing complex mental health issues such as addiction counseling, PTSD care, crisis situations, and behavioral health challenges.
Prior inpatient or outpatient experience within hospital or clinic settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with healthcare policies related to mental health regulation standards including HIPAA compliance is essential.
Strong telehealth experience is preferred to facilitate remote patient assessments and consultations effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining excellent medical documentation practices using EMR/EHR systems.
Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation tools and data collection methods that support evidence-based practice in psychiatry.
