Job Description – Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper

NewPower Worldwide is the fastest-growing global independent distributor of electronic components and finished goods. We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team!

The Accounting Assistant will be a vital member of the ever-growing finance team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this position is responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions described below. This position will also work on special projects and ad hoc duties as needed – full-time schedule M-F in Nashua. If you are dedicated, detail-oriented, work well in a fast-paced team environment, and take pride in a job well done, you are just the person we seek. We look forward to hearing from all interested and qualified candidates.

As the Accounting Assistant, you’ll be responsible for various tasks such as data entry, payment processing, ACH and wire transfers, researching payment errors, accounts payable, invoicing, clerical, and other general administrative tasks.

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficient in MS Office and computer skills; ability to work on multiple systems and screens to compare data
Experience in a similar position is preferred
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Experience with QuickBooks
