Full Job Description

Kryder Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal with a strong understanding of the full lifecycle of a personal injury case, from initial case setup through settlement and disbursement.

The ideal candidate is not only an experienced paralegal, but someone who understands how a successful personal injury department operates as a whole. Experience training, mentoring, supervising, or serving as a team lead is strongly preferred.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, knowledgeable, comfortable taking ownership, and interested in helping strengthen processes and develop other team members.

Responsibilities

Manage and understand the full personal injury case lifecycle from intake/retention through closing.
Assist with case setup, insurance claims, liability investigations, and preservation of evidence.
Monitor client medical treatment and maintain regular client communication.
Obtain and review medical records, bills, liens, police reports, insurance information, and other case documentation.
Identify missing records, treatment gaps, liability issues, and other potential case problems.
Review cases for demand readiness and assist with preparation of demand packages.
Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, lienholders, attorneys, and clients.
Assist with settlement documentation, lien resolution, settlement statements, and disbursement.
Maintain accurate case management records, deadlines, tasks, and documentation.
Assist attorneys and case managers with complex or escalated case issues.
Help identify workflow inefficiencies and opportunities to improve case handling.
Train, mentor, and provide guidance to other staff when needed.
Assist with developing and maintaining procedures, best practices, and training materials.
Help ensure firm procedures and case-handling standards are consistently followed.

Qualifications

4+ years of personal injury experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of the full pre-litigation personal injury case lifecycle.
Experience handling motor vehicle accident and other bodily injury claims.
Strong understanding of insurance claims, medical treatment, demands, settlements, liens, and disbursement.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to independently identify issues and determine appropriate next steps.
Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment and learning new systems.
Experience with personal injury case management software preferred.
Prior experience training, mentoring, supervising, or leading staff is highly preferred.
Paralegal certificate or degree is preferred but not required based on experience.
