Full Job Description

Job Summary: The supervises and supports volunteers of the CASA Program and monitors all case activity in Charles, St Mary’s and Calvert counties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Track and supervise all CASA case activity.
Distribute and track court hearings and Family Team Decision Meetings (FTDMs) dates and confirm volunteers’ attendance.
Attend court hearings, FTDMs and any other case related meeting as needed.
Submit all court documents including case assignments, petitions, addendums, and rescission letters.
Maintain and upload documentation into Optima Case Management System for all CASA cases; monitor and approve volunteer documentation
Provide coaching, support and motivation to volunteers to maintain and enhance advocacy.
Review cases with volunteers weekly/monthly/ quarterly and utilize appropriate coaching techniques; review all case meetings with the volunteer and consult with the program manager if needed.
Review, edit and submit volunteer court reports and distribute appropriately.
Conduct semi-annual reviews of volunteers.
Conduct debriefs with volunteers at case closing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field is required.
Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing reports
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of child abuse and neglect with a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of juvenile law, child abuse and neglect, families in crisis, and other social services skills.
A working knowledge of crisis intervention, prevention education, and child maltreatment.
1 year experience and knowledge related to training, supervising, and supporting volunteers and volunteer programming preferred.
Effective supervision and team building skills; ability to provide constructive feedback; conflict resolution skills
Critical thinking skills with the ability to gather and analyze information; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations.
Ability to work with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competency and community awareness.
Strong command and knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media platforms and ease in adapting to new technology.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs
Excellent communication and organizational skills
