Full Job Description

<Job Overview>
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team. In this vital role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, accurate data entry, and compliance. Your expertise will help maintain healthy cash flow, support financial reporting accuracy, and enhance customer relationships through professional communication and negotiation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.

<Duties>

Process and monitor incoming payments, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts.
Generate and send invoices, statements, and collection notices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms
Follow up on overdue accounts through professional phone calls, emails, and written correspondence while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, adjustments, and account notes.
Assist with month-end closing activities
Support audit processes by providing documentation for account reconciliations and financial reviews involving accounts receivable data
Provide support and or back up to AP, Billing and Payroll

<Experience>

Proven experience in accounts receivable management
Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account reconciliation
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online
Demonstrated ability in negotiation and customer service to effectively resolve payment issues while maintaining positive client relationships
Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for data entry
Transportation Industry Experience Preferred
