Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Front Office Coordinator to join our vibrant dental practice. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while ensuring smooth daily operations. As the first point of contact, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, handle administrative tasks, and support the clinical team with efficient office management. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive patient experience and uphold the high standards of our dental practice.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service through multi-line phone systems and in-person interactions
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental scheduling software (Eaglesoft) while managing appointment calendars effectively
Collect payments
Maintain accurate and organized medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with intake procedures, patient check-in/out, and ensure all necessary forms are completed correctly
Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry

Skills

experience in a dental or medical front desk setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, Athenahealth or similar platforms
Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-9/10, CPT), medical billing processes, insurance verification, and health information management
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing)
Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
Exceptional organizational skills with experience in clinic or healthcare office environments; ability to review documentation thoroughly and manage multiple priorities seamlessly
