About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing elevator projects from contract award through completion. This includes managing projects while ensuring specification compliance, quality, gross margin performance, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction. The role serves as the central point of coordination between customers, suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Project Execution

- Manage project schedules, milestones, and resource plans
- Coordinate with supply chain, suppliers directly, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Monitor project progress via internal applications
- Proactively resolve delays or issues
- Drive accountability across all stakeholders

Financial Management

- Understanding customer delivery expectations
- Margin protection contributing to profitable growth
- Manage proper forecasting dates
- Identify and manage change orders

Customer Management

- Act as primary point of contact for customers
- Provide regular project updates and manage expectations
- Build strong relationships to support repeat business

Quality & Compliance

- Maintain proper documentation for compliance and audits
- Monitor work quality, accuracy, and adherence to customer requirements
- Support process consistency and operational effectiveness
Continuous Improvement
- Seek and identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

3–7+ years of project management experience (elevator industry strongly preferred)

Skills

Proficient in project management software

Proficient in Microsoft Suite package

Comfortable engaging with direct, high-pressure communication from customers, architects, and general contractors

Demonstrates strong capacity to handle a high volume of work while effectively prioritizing competing demands

Resourceful, problem-solver, able to prioritize and multitask

Detail oriented and organized

Able to communicate effectively with strong people skills & a sense of humor on a great team

Self-motivated and work independently with minimum supervision

Unshakeable integrity

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment is required. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically. Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds may be required.
