Full Job Description

Shop Fabrication Description

We are seeking carbon/stainless steel fabricators who is available to work 1st shift, Monday through Friday with some weekend work and overtime as needed.

Candidate must have own hand tools to complete task as needed closely matching D1’s attached minimum tool list requirements.

MIG, Flux Core and TIG certifications are preferred but not required with references along with passing a weld test and print test. Torch and plasma cutting experience preferred

Candidate must be able to operate equipment to put together mechanical and metal structures/parts with precision. The ideal candidate should have great attention to detail.

This a good paying job with room for advancement. Paid time off, Medical, Dental and Vision insurance available.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding or cutting according to specifications
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded and clean parts when needed.
Weld components using manual equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Skills

Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, Flux Core, TIG, etc.)
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and hard hats etc.)
Attention to detail and must be able to take instructions and follow through
Proficient in English
Professional Certification (e.g. welding certificates) would be a plus, but not required
CNC break press and plasma cutting table experience would be a plus, but not required

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
