Full Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Production facility: Odessa, TX

Main Objective of Job:

Produces machined API Threads, Semi Premium Threads and Premium Threads for Pins and Couplings. by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Preferred experience with Okuma Machines, EMAG Machines, Mori Seiki, also to be experienced with Fanuc or Siemens Controls.

Education/ Qualification:

High school or technical School education with 1 year experience.

Duties, Responsibilities5 & Key tasks:

Operation and set-up CNC Machine - Okuma LOC650 and Mazak M
Operation and saw set-up, swage
Manufacture product to API specification, company operating procedures or prints or in conformance to Customer requirements as transmitted on a work router;
Provide the best possible output of machining to ensure the highest product quality as product Quality is dependent on the machine operator;
Ensuring proper accountability of products sent in for repair or conversion;
Ensuring proper product identification & traceability throughout the process;
Ensure preservation of customer and company products;
Informing the direct supervisor or Quality person of any product non-conforming situations;
Maintaining daily maintenance of machinery;
Maintaining daily or hourly counts of product manufactured

Essential functions:

This position is exposed to the following work environment factors and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

Stand for extended periods of time, kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, crawl, climb stairs, heavy lifting. Load, unload connections, handling equipment and accessories. Use hands to handle, grasp, hold equipment
Be able occasionally physically carry up to 100 lbs.
Be able to work in hot, cold, snow, rain work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear.
