Position summary: 1st Choice Cabinetry is the largest cabinet distribution and installation company in the Triangle, and we are fast becoming one of the largest in North Carolina. Our trucks are out on the road delivering to all points North, South, East and West. What we’re looking for:

A clean driving record.
Self-motivated and able to follow direction well in the field.
A positive, customer-oriented attitude.
Ideally with prior experience driving 26-foot box trucks safely.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up and down stairs as needed.
Pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

What you’ll be doing:

Safely operate and maintain a box truck for the purpose of delivering cabinets and counter tops.
Accurately load and unload goods onto the truck, ensuring that they are securely strapped in place to prevent damage during transit. Including:

o Read labels to ensure that the correct items are being loaded/delivered.

o Inspect product for any damage.

o Review delivery location for suitable conditions for delivery.

o Note any product that is missing.

o Report any discrepancies or issues to immediate supervisor.

Follow delivery plans laid out by your supervisors.
Provide exceptional customer service, including polite and professional interaction with clients during delivery drop-offs.
Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck to ensure it remains in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself, other road users, and the goods being transported.
Use a scanner to assist in accurate loading and unloading of product.

Experience and Education:

2+ years' experience driving a 26’ box truck.
Prior experience of delivering cabinetry or something similar a plus.
A valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
